They say that marriages are made in the heavens but weddings are made on Earth. This wedding, however, was made at a place quite near to the heavens. Anais and Flavio, a lovely couple from the United Sates, tied the knot in breathtaking Santorini. Hello, my name is Alexander Hadji, I’m a Santorini photographer. And this time I will share a beautiful story about a Santorini wedding photoshoot for Anais and Flavio.

Santorini wedding photography: day one
Anais and Flavio wrote to me in the early days of January 2017 to book a Santorini wedding photoshoot. As many couples, they expected the most beautiful photographs of their Santorini wedding.
Moreover, the couple wanted to get a few pictures with classic Santorini backdrops. On the other hand, Anais and Flavio had to follow a wedding day schedule so that everything went smoothly.
After some consideration, I suggested that they split their Santorini wedding photography package. This allowed the couple to enjoy their gorgeous wedding ceremony and to go for some breathtaking photographs the other day.
Alexandra Darzentas, from Fanari Villas, nice villas and a beautiful wedding venue in Santorini, took over wedding planning for Anais and Flavio. Fanari Villas wedding venue is a real treasure for a Santorini wedding photographer. As it has both a breathtaking view of Caldera and a traditional Greek windmill nearby. So any shooting angle gets those classy Santorini backdrops.
Studio Corason perfectly performed the wedding floral design including a lovely bridal bouquet and the groom’s buttonhole. I absolutely enjoyed taking pictures of those bright colored and romantic flowers.
A Santorini makeup artist Renia Bledaki helped Anais to look even more beautiful, while a hairdresser Bella Damigou took over the hair style.
A stunning wedding dress came from Allure Bridals, while the grooms suit was by SuitSupply.
Beautiful and sparkling wedding rings came from Quest Fine Jewelers in Vienna.
A Santorini pastry shop Gligaki baked a gorgeous wedding cake, naked and blossoming, as the couple’s love. Though I’m not a sweet tooth, I wish I had a piece. But, then, my job is to capture the beauty, not to eat it 🙂
Anais and Flavio shared their thoughts on the wedding: “Looking back at our special day, it was more than we could have ever dreamed of. We are so grateful to have found one another and have been able to celebrate our union surrounded by our loved ones in such a magical setting”. Those are really touching words. However, let the pictures tell the story.
Santorini wedding photoshoot: day two
We spent the second day of this Santorini wedding photoshoot at the classic Santorini locations. In other words, those famous spots with blue domes and white houses overlooking to the Caldera. There were no guests, no rush, so Anais and Flavio could finally relax, enjoy the views and each other.
I got some feedback on my work too. The couple wrote to me: ‘We were really blown away by Alexander’s work. He captured our wedding day in such a beautiful way! It was a great experience having him as our photographer, we could not be happier with our choice”.
My best wishes to Anais and Flavio. May their long-long years together be full of love and happiness!
